With Continuous Listening and Speaking Practice (CLaSP) @ 2Pallos Language Education you will increase your English listening and speaking skills. The CLaSP audio method will train you to decrease translating into your own language and to respond more and more rapidly in English to what you hear.

I. 2Pallos Language Education website

1. Click at the top of the page to choose your level:

2. Click to choose the type of Listening and Speaking Practice you would like to try:

Listening and Speaking Practice:
Vocabulary in Use
Listening and Speaking Practice:
Grammar in Use
Listening and Speaking Practice:
Dialogue

3. Click to choose Session:

Session Type of practice

4. Click on for normal audio playback speed and on for slow audio playback speed for each activity.

You can also click on  to see the transcript of each activity. For your progress, try not to look at the transcripts during your first try.
 

II. CLaSP audio method

Step 1:

Click on the or sign, you will hear a question or statement with a clue to the answer. You can choose to listen to normal speed or slow speed.
(eg. You hear: ‘What did you do yesterday?  and  You hear the clue: play tennis’).

I played tennis yesterday.

Step 2:

You will be given time to say the answer out loud using the given clue and all the information given in the question.

Step 3:

You will then hear the correct answer from the computer. (eg. You hear: ‘I played tennis yesterday’). Please compare to see if your answer is correct.

Step 4:

You will be given time to repeat the correct answer out loud.

SUMMARY:
Step 1.
You hear the computer
Step 2. You speak
Step 3. You hear the computer
Step 4. You repeat

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Often there are more than one way to say the same thing, CLaSP helps you to practice one common answer.

The transcript at the end of each activity lists the other possible answers. Try not to look at the transcripts during your first try.
